This nursery has a long standing, highly experienced and diverse staff team. The nursery team is proud to have achieved an outstanding grading with Ofsted three times in a row, demonstrating the consistency of the excellent education and care.

Wigwams is a UNICEF Rights Respecting setting which means that children are taught about their rights and their responsibilities, the staff and children are encouraged to respect each other and uphold those rights. These rights strongly support the personal social and emotional development of the child and we believe if the child is valued, respected and listened to they will feel safe and secure to enjoy, achieve and learn.

As play is the way in which children learn, we strongly believe in giving children large amounts of time for uninterrupted play throughout the day. Therefore, children make decisions on what activities to partake in and where they choose to play. Meals and snacks times are therefore flexible, children chose when to eat and take all the time they need to dine.

The nursery is located in northern Ipswich in the grounds of Whitton Sports & Community Centre in Whitton Church Lane. There is a large car park directly in front of the nursery. The nursery is a two storey building and the childcare is delivered across both floors with the ground floor comprising of a pre-school room whilst the first floor has a baby room and a toddler room. We are so lucky to be neighbours with a sports centre as the children have a large, enclosed field to play in to promote physical development. We are passionate about outdoor play, with children spending large amounts of time outside and babies enjoying sleeping in the fresh air.

The nursery is committed to working closely with parents and the manager is always readily available to discuss any concerns around your child care to ensure that you and your child are happy.
